Maung Myint Aung

 

Born in 1959, Htoo Gyi, Ayeyawaddy, Myanmar

He studied painting at the Yangon State School of Fine Arts and graduated in 1983. After his graduation he started working as an illustrator for various magazines until 1988 where he started spending more time on painting. His work was first shown at the group exhibition in 1990 at the New Treasure Gallery in Yangon. He has done 4 solo exhibitions and participated in more than 50 group exhibitions locally and internationally, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Switzerland. He lives in Yangon with his family and works as a full time artist. His collection can be seen at the Nawaday Tharlar Gallery.
